Tithing 101 – Ever wonder: How your pledge is used? Where the idea of tithing comes from? How the church budget works? Why pledging is more important than just giving occasionally? Roof Above (Urban Ministry Center and Men’s Shelter) has some urgent needs for our neighbors without shelter. We’ll be collecting items on Sunday, October 25th, from 2-4 pm and Monday, October 26th, from 11 am to 1 pm in front of the church. As we’ve done with food drives, you will be able to place items directly in a vehicle. Items needed: tuna in pouches, chips in snack size bags, individually wrapped crackers, disposable masks, nitrile gloves size large, lightweight backpacks, tarps (8×10), rain ponchos. Weekly Gatherings:
Sunday: We continue our online worship at 11 am each week. The links to worship through either the church website or through YouTube) now remain the same each week and are available in each Caldwell email publication.
Tuesday: Weekly “Preachers’ Porch” online at 7 pm to check in and look back at the prior Sunday’s sermon and at the upcoming Sunday’s scriptures.
Thursday: We gather at 8 pm for a time of evening vespers via Zoom.
Daily, 9 pm: We invite all in the Caldwell community to pause wherever you are each day at 9 pm to gather and connect through the Holy Spirit in prayer. In this way, we think of each other at the close of the day and turn as one toward God.
