Ushers are an integral part of each worship service! We are sometimes the first Caldwellians visitors and prospective members encounter. We are regularly in need of ushers who are able to commit to serve one Sunday each month. Ushers pass out bulletins, help with setup before service (turn on lights; light candles; fill the baptismal font; open the doors to members, friends, and visitors), during service (ensure doors are securely locked after service begins; monitor ramp door; count attendees; collect offering), and after service (lock up the sanctuary; turn off lights and candles; light tidying of sanctuary). The job is easier than this description sounds! Ideally, there are four ushers on duty each Sunday. Substitute ushers help fill in if regularly rotating ushers are unable to serve on their designated Sunday. If interested, we would love to add you to our roster!
