Please inform the church office when a member or friend is in the hospital or would appreciate a pastoral call or visit. Because of privacy laws, do not assume the hospital is calling the church or pastor on your behalf.

DEADLINE TO JOIN THE GUATEMALA VISION TEAM IS NEXT SUNDAY,
OCTOBER 24. Please give your Common Hope application and deposit to team leaders Elise Deal and Kitty Bohr on Sunday morning or mail them to Kitty before that date. If you are feeling led to serve our brothers and sisters in Latin America, do it now—it will be 2013 before Caldwell sends another team to Guatemala. PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO AN OPEN HOUSE AT UNION SEMINARY, on Saturday, October 30, from 9 am to noon. For more information or to RSVP please contact Terry Johns of the Union Presbytery Seminary, Charlotte Campus, at 704-337-2450.

DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS OCTOBER 31. A special worship service commemorating the “Day of the Dead” and All Saints Day will honor Caldwell’s connection to our Latin American brothers and sisters both in  Guatemala and here in Charlotte. A traditional ofrenda will be in the sanctuary to help us celebrate the lives of our deceased loved ones. Please bring photographs or small mementos to put on the table to honor and remember the “saints” that have gone before us. Also, if you would like the name of your loved one(s) to be included in the worship liturgy that Sunday, please call or email the church office (704-334-0825 admin@caldwellpresby.org) with the spelling of the name(s), noting the relation to you.
