About John Cleghorn

Rev.  John Cleghorn is the Pastor of Caldwell Memorial Presbyterian Church in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte.  John has served Caldwell as pastor since March 31, 2008. Caldwell is a diverse, progressive, mission-minded congregation that has been the fastest growing Presbyterian church in the region for the last two years.

John’s wife, Kelly, is a teacher at Christ Church kindergarten. They have two daughters – Ellison, 14, and Sophie, 10.

John, 47, retired from Bank of America in 2008 as a senior vice president after 18 years in various public relations and public policy roles. Before joining its predecessor, NCNB, John was a reporter for the Charlotte Observer for six years.
